The end of ski season is here. Every year I always think I had to ski more this season. Also in the beginning of May there was some fresh powder falling down in the Alps, that made me want to go back even more!
Luckily this days you also can go skiing in the summer. Here you find some spots in Europe where you ski the whole year.
Be aware that most of those areas are only open during the morning.
The Hintertuxglacier is a skiarea till 3250 meters high. The glacier lays between the mountain tops of the Gerfronene-Wand. Because the skiarea lays high this area has most of the time good snow qualities.
Kaprun/Kitzsteinhorn – Austria
The Kitzsteinhorn has something for every skier. It’s a good area for beginners but you can also train for a slalom, you also have a funpark and mogulpiste.
Zermatt/Theodorgletjer – Switzerland
Zermatt is a car free resort of most famous mountain, the Matterhorn. From Täsch you can take a little train to the Matterhorn glacier paradise! The Theodorglacier is the highest summerskiarea from the Alps, you also can find the biggest snowpark from Europe here.
Fonna – Norway
Folgefonna is al little ski area in Norway, most of the time this skiarea is open, but when de snow conditions are bad they will close the area. A beautiful thing about this ski area is that you can see the Fjorden from the glacier.
Fonna is just two hours away from Bergen.
